PAN No. requirement

I am working in company in express cargo industry, where we have to deduct the TDS on payment to business associates and franchisees. Some franchisees don't have PAN no.. Can we issue TDS cerificate without PAN no of deductee? pls. guide.

Same as to Mr Mahesh Goyal Iam also having the same question ,whether TDs certificate (form 16) can be issued with out PAN Thanks Mohan

Once TDS is deducted, it must be deposited and certificate can be and must be issued.

If TDS is deducted without PAN , and the TDS return does not mentio PAN , the deductee will not get credit under OLTAS(online tax accounting system)

If the deductee want to take credit of TDS, he should obtain PAN. It is deductees responsibility.
