PAN for Society

That depends on the intention of the society
If the intention of the society is a charitable activity like providing education, or for religious purposes, yoga ,medical relief,preservation of environment etc...,and not for profit ,then you can take as trust and register under 12 as of income tax act 1961,else you can choose as AOP.
