can we get pan card in the name of proprietor firm name only

Yes, pan no of properitor is the pan no of his/her properitorship firm

No you cannot get PAN card in the name of proprietorship firm.

Proprietorship doesn't have a separate legal identity like company. So you cannot get PAN card in proprietorship firm name.

So, you have to used the PAN of the proprietor in case of proprietorship firm since separate pan card can't be issued becuase of lack of separate legal identity of proprietary concern.
