Pan card issues

Hello,

Date on PAN Card: If you notice, on almost all PAN Cards you will see a date on right side of the photograph. Assuming the date is 24/11/2012 and the PAN Card is a fresh one(i.e. not duplicate), can the assessee file Income Tax Return for AY 11-12 & AY 12-13 or will he face any problem?

you will not be faced any problen filing Income tax return for the AY 2011-12 and 2012-13

you can always file income tax return within time limit (regular or belated), you will not face any problem with respect to date of allotment of PAN

Of course no problems!!! PAN is not an implied identity proof from being an assessee!!! Its juz an Identification tool on which the database is stored for income tax assessment purposes!! :-) you can file the returns using the PAN allotted.

Sorry to say

but your quetion itself not connected.

Considering the date on PAN i.e DOB in case of Individual or DOI in case of Company in filling income tax is referred for Individual(while considering whether the assessee is SC or SSC or not)

Correct.

Karan his question is whether he can use the PAN issued after the due date of returns or after the completion of period of returns for filing the returns and will it pose any problem.. DOB doesnt come in the picture itself.

OKayzzzzzzzz....thankx Nithin........

n YASHSR U can file.
