PAN Application - Signature by Power of Attorney

I think in the case specified (i.e authorised by BOD)..., it is possible....

Since Law has not prescribed "person responsible for sigining of PAN application form", I think Inferences has to be drawn from Sec 140:Signing of Return,

Therefore, if is a Domestic company - No it cannot be signed by PoA holder

For Foreign Company - It can be signed by PoA holder.

Thanks for your reply. But in this case, all the directors are foreign and they are not available in India to sign hence not possible for them to sign. Would request to provide some practical way out.

Send Form 49 A on email to Director, ask him to fill it with Black Pen & send it back to u either a scanned copy or through Courier

In similar case, who is an individual and non-resident, I have sent the form through courier and got it signed by the NRI. I have submitted the form here in India.  The NRI has been alloted a PAN and the PAN card has been delivered at the address given in India.

I think the fastest way to apply for PAN is to send Filled PAN Application Form online through email, color print by the director, physically sign by black pen, scan and send the duly signed form back thru email, color print by me and than apply for PAN.

Authorised signatory can sign the Acknowlegement form ( if filed online ) / application for PAN (if hard copy) .
