P-notes is an instrument issued by the Foreign Institutional Investors to its clients who are not registered with SEBI. In order to invest in Indian stock markets foreign investors need to have registration with SEBI. By investing through the P-Notes one can keep his identity secret. But SEBi has done a great job by amending the recent laws.
