As per my knowledge there is not any option of filing return online directly without software.
CBDT site accept only xml file which can be generate only through software
FILING THINGS USING SOFTWARE REDUCES REPETATIVE WORK
FOR THE PRESENT FILING AND EVEN FOR THE FUTURE FILING OF RETURNS
