Online e-filing query

I have filed my father's ITR-1 online. I have paid the interest amount and tax amount through challan and filed return, but forgot to write interest amount in the column. Is there any problem.

Hi Venkat,

You can write a letter to the AO of your ward as well as Central Processing Centre - Bangalore with copy of challan and ITR.

However, this is a minor issue, as long as you have paid the taxes, you won't be bothered.

Further, if you receive an intimation u/s 143(1) from income tax office, you can reply them by filing online rectification u/s 154. You can understand this process by reading this article https://www.simpletaxindia.org/2010/12/common-errors-made-while-filling-income.html
