Hi,

when someone asks you about no of attempts, your answer throws some light on how sharp you are and how quick you can learn things and also how committed you are towards given task.

You can succeed in saying no reasons but put the facts on the table where you can defend in best possible ways depending on the interviewer.

Big 4s and some companies dont even call u if ur attempts are more than 3. How will u defend urself or give reasons? Also, For me a person who have succeeded after tasting failure always have more experience than one who haven't.
If someone ask you about number of attempts you have to answer him that can make him think that you are a confident guy and can handle any critical situation. You can tell him that about your number of attempts and also elaborate your answer by saying that it is not about failure. It is about how you bounced back. Answer him something that can differentiate you with other first attempt candidate in a unique way. I had seen an interview of a guy on YouTube who was rejected by a company inspite of an excellent profile on his CV. He was shocked and asked the reason for rejection. They said "We don't pick a guy who never experienced failure. So if you face any such situation in a company you won't be able to bounce back". So you can say in an interview that because of failure I have learnt how to bounce back, I have learn many qualities such as patience, calmness, fighting attitude, etc. Such answers can make a unique impression in the mind of an interviewer.
Before interviewer comes a telephonic round by some HR guy. That guy stick rigid to rules as he has nothing to do with such qualities despite he had to find a person who fulfils eligibility provided to him. Still... Thanx a lot Nirav and Suri
I actually want to know...Why is this differentiation? A CA is a CA, he know rules, he is competent, able and capable to handle circumstances, he has dreams same as every other CA. No. Of attempts is not a criterion to decide any of these things. Please correct me if I am wrong.
