A Person went to Dubai on 28th Aug,2020 on Tourist Visa.and before that he was in India.

Got Residence Visa on 21/10/20 and has been in Dubai since then for Self-Employment Purpose.

Please let me know,Whether he will treated as NRI for FY 20-21.

His residential status will be "Resident but not ordinarily resident " as he first leave from India on 28.8.2020 before that he is in India for less than 182 days
