Notice under section 139(9)

ITR 246 views 3 replies

Assessee received a notice under Section 139(9) but the email of that notice was accidentally deleted

How to request the CPC to issue that notice again?

Also.. The original ITR was filed as ITR 4

The assessee wants to e-file in response to Section 139(9) as "ITR 4s" with "increased income" as his accountant omitted to take into account a part of his income..

Can he do this??

If you can assess the possible defective reason, no need to waste time, better reply online for rectification. Any major changes in the original ITR are not allowed for removal of its defect. Once the reply is processed, you can go for revised return u/s. 139(5) or rectification u/s. 154, as applicable.
