I recently received a notice u/s 142(1). It asks me to submit the following documents. My questions are as follows:
Q1) As a salaried individual, what do I submit for no. 3?
Q2) What do they want in no. 4?
Q3) Why do they want my passport details?
Q4) Can I ask for more time to submit these as I am travelling this month? Is it normal for a notice to request so many documents?
1. Return of Income along with computation of total income for the year under consideration.
2. Copy of passport with 4 years arrival and departure details.
3. Please furnish copy of Personal Capital Account, Profit and Loss Account and Balance Sheet as on 31.03.2017.
4. Also explain AIR.
5. Letter of Authority in case of attendacne by representative.
6. Details of descripttive note of the nature of business activity conducted if any.
7. Give complete details of property in India and its rental status if any.
8. Details of all Bank accounts and investments in India.
9. Any other documents on which you may wish to rely in support of Retun of Income.
10.Please furnish details of investment and income relating to foreign financial interest.
