I have received notice u/s 143 for tax payable of Rs 3001/- . But after i checked nt E- ITR form i mentioned male instead of female. Please let me know how i revert to income tax dep. for my this query.

You shall revise the return u/s 139(5) ..you can revise the return if you file earlier return(original return) before or on due date .....

Mr. vishal said absolutely right.
what you have received is not any type of notice. it's just an intimation based on your filed return about net payable or refundable.
if there is any mistake in your originaly filed return then you have to fill a revised return. there is nothing like self correction in income tax act.

Can i file revised return now bcz somewhere i read that once your assessment get completed we cant file the revised return. is it right?

Chetan notice u/s 143(1) is intimation to you not an assessment order....so in this case your assessment still pending....you can definately file revised return
