Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the consequences of not filing GST returns, even if your business is operational and registered for GST. Failing to file returns can lead to your GST registration being cancelled by the GST council, often after a Show Cause Notice (SCN). You may also face late fees for delayed filings and penalties if outstanding liabilities exist. Importantly, even if you've only made purchases and reflected Input Tax Credit (ITC), non-filing can still result in cancellation and potential penalties.
No liability is pending, is they levied penalty on my itc which i reflected on my account before the time of cancellation. as i am only make purchases for that 6 month but not file any return. does in that case also gst council cancel my gst registration
If you didn't file your gst returns than you have to pay the late fees on the all months gstr 3b. if in your business you required to Eway bill than if your didn't file your 2 succeeding months gstr 3b. than you will not generate Eway bill for business activity
