Non filing of return

I have not filed GST return since the registration in November 2017, how much penalty I have to pay now before putting a withdrawing GST request....

Pursuant to the GST Act, late fees of Rs. 100 per day per return will be levied on companies in cases of late filing. This means total late fees of Rs. 200 per day (100 under CGST and 100 under SGST), subject to a maximum of Rs. 5,000 for a particular period.

Minimum of Rs. 27,000 for GSTR-3B if Nil return.

The guy that I consulted says 56000 for total GST return with penalty....only 5 purchase and 7 sells and that too only after April until now....advise me

Yes it can be as I have calculated only for 3B samr for GSTR-1. So, almost around the same.

| While filing the 3B, the system auto calculates the late fee

| Currently, late fees charges are Rs. 20 per day in case of NIL return. In other cases it is Rs. 50 per day.

In addition, As far as I know:

Maximum late fee - Rs 5000/- per return
If you are in quarterly filing bracket for GSTR1, late fee may be slightly lower. For e.g Q3,and Q4 of 2017-18 late fee for GSTR1 in your case could be around 4700 (Jan 31 last date - 235*20) and 2920 (April 30 last date - 146*20) respectively. For Q1 of current year late for GSTR1 may be around (54 days * 50 - 2700)
But it is not clear how to pay late fee on GSTR1 as per searches in this forum.
