No Access to Form 16 to file ITR

Hi, I ran in to a situation where I changed my company couple of months before and forgot to download and keep Form 16 and I have no way to download the same from somewhere else. Does anybody know how can I get my Form 16 so that I can file my ITR in time. Thanks in advance!

Thanks, but they refuse to provide the same by saying they no longer have any of the data.

than file your return with salary you receive in your bank account

If the company cannot issue Form-16, then can issue a certified income certificate. You can request them to provide Income certificate for you.

Thanks, after couple of back to back call I got my form 16.. since its the first time filing ITR, can you please help with how can I file the ITR?

You can file the Income Tax return on the basis of the income reflecting in Form 26AS and claim the TDS accordingly.

Thank you for your valuable inputs.. Here with I have come across another confusion when you mentioned Form 26AS, is it part of Form 16? or should I contact my previous company to get Form 26AS individually?

Form 26as is not part of form 16, You will find it when log in your e filing account. It contains all the income that you earned from different sources and is subject to tax deduction at source.
