One of our clients has no income at all to show for the year 12-13 (A.y 13-14) but he wishes to file an income tax return as he has to apply for education loan of his son. Kindly tell me how to file such a return. What kind of incomes can I show in this case. Thankyou Shruti

He may file nil ITR return. He won't be able to show fictitious income in the ITR to avail loan.

But even in the NILITR some income has to shown . Right? Which is below 200000.

You may check bank statement and find out the interest earned annually on his saving account, which shall be taxable under the head income from other sources. Simiarly, interest earned from FD, or income from share trading, investments etc.

So only interest income would be suffiicient keeping in mind that he has to apply for loan?

Hello,

You can show income from Tutions(in case of male) and in case of female u can show income from tailoring or stiching, along with bank interest and FDR int.

Thanks

Shikhar

shikhar,

thats extremely s*xist of you.  Why can't we show income from tuitions for females? any bar on that?

hmmmm...............nikhil bhai we can show income from tution for females too, their is no bars for that....but make sure they hv atleast  basic qualification for both male and female to teach.

thanks

that is what I meant..you assumed that the male has the qualification for coaching and the females have the qualification for stitching...that is why it was s*xist..

In india specialy at our place the literacy ration is  low......................sooo  sometimes we hv to create such type of perception when we r going to draft a "computaion for income".specialy in case of female.

Thank you Income from tutions and other sources sounds like a good choice. Thanks a lot. :) Good day all.

Shikhar,

thanks for enlightening us about the ill-conceived perceptions specially when a large number of teachers in this country are females.

Thank you.  I remember a female CA student on the forum complaining about the discrimination against women and I told her that she shouldn't worry too much about such men.  Thanks for telling me the source of such perceptions.

Bro ….sitting on a relaxing chair………… its easy to say  that large number of females  r teacher, come out to the ground specially in a village or town,  where still women r not allow to come out of the home after marriage, they spend whole of his life in GHUGHAT…………….whts wrong if we draft a computation while keeping the fact and reality of our country and culture in our mind. I am not in favor of any type of discrimination. But it don’t mean I will ignore the reality and facts.

And if  you are really interested to know the origin of discrimination regarding women…………….Then read ARTICLE  15 OF OUR CONSTITUTION, where it is mention that government must create welfare polices for the women, if males and females both r equal then why welfare policies only for women……..

THANKS

Not cool to debate on petty issues, my learned friends. Discrimination is as old as mankind, and no law can eliminate it. Both, men and women face discrimination on a daily basis, and we cannot spoil our peace of mind for something that cannot be changed. Some problems in life are not really problems but an opportunity to discover one's greatness. So let people choose; complain or overcome.

Rightly said Mihir sir, Fighting it out here is quite unnecessary all you are doing is proving your poiint right which is not helping the situation in any way. And for people who actualy by heart feel the need of equality of men and women would work on their front to improvise it but Not force their point of view on the other. Kindly do not take offence of my words. I am a female too, know how this society works but my complaining won't give me anything but yes me working hard for change definately would. Thanku
