New Problem started !!  This is for everification for succefully submitted ITR for current AY. Anyone else facing the problem detailed below?

  • I-T site not able to open the bank login page on "Everify Using Netbanking"  and no EVC coming if "Everify Using Bank Account"
  • It has happened with Axis Bank, to which, my Relative's EVerification is linked and validated. There was no issue last three years, the everification was working smoothly for him using the Axis EVC Enabled [and netbanking enabled] account.

No one answered !! Very sad.

Or, maybe, my relative was too fast, trying to file and verify so early, because he expects some refund.

Problem is, now it is all e-verification and only 30 days given from date of ITR uploading.

1. Login to Net Banking. From there login to income tax site (redirection)

2. After that you can simply everify. It will be everified.

3. Use alternative method Everify through Aadhaar OTP

Dear Rajasekar

My relative has been doing the same (what you advised) for many years without any problem.

The problem started this year.

So I wanted to know if it is an issue faced by others also, which would confirm it is a problem on the I T e-filing site.

I faced this problem with 3 of my clients The EVC what they received through bank account is not working in IT site. It showing message Invalid EVC.All 3 are different banks. Then I verified return through Aadhaar OTP.

I feel it is a server issue at CPC

@ Shankar Rao

Thanks for your feedback and confirmation about what I was suspecting, problem at cpc site.

As suggested by @ Rajasekar and now reconfirmed by you, I will advise my relative to use the Aadhaar route to verify.

@ Rajasekar

My relative could complete the e-verification with Aadhaar mode. It got easily done with a six numeral OTP.

He had tried to revalidate his bank account for NetBanking Login and EVC Enabling. Now it is stuck at "Request Submitted" status for last 4 days.

The ITR has the same bank account listed for getting refund. So now he is worried that the refund may not arrive due to the stuck Revalidation of the bank account.

Hi, The problem of bank account validation has been solved on 20th. I did a constant followup with ORM @ CPC.On 20th they called me at 10.45 am and said the issue has been resolved. Instead of revalidation you have to first remove the account and add it again .It will be validated within a minute. I did it for 4 different banks. After adding go back to dashboard and check bank account. Even now EVC is also working fine. Yesterday I E verified one return with EVC

@ Shankar Rao

Thanks for the update.

Will relay your findings to my relative.

But if a bank account is Stuck at "Request Pending" then no way to delete it, I found myself.

Hopefully problem would get solved on Monday, when CPC people are fully active.

You can remove (it is not delete) account even it is showing request submitted. Click on 3 dots beside account number You will see remove account. Click that one box opens for reason  Click other don't give any reason. Submit it. otp will come. After giving otp account is removed. Then go to add account and add. I removed 6 bank accounts and added it for 4 people. All are validated within a minute.

@ Shankar Rao

Thanks a lot for the info.

Will pass on to my relative.

@ Shankar Rao

Need one more clarification.

OTP is needed while removing existing bank account - yes?

OTP needed , again, while adding and validating a fresh account - yes?

Waiting for your feedback

Yes OTP is needed for removing bank account and also needed for adding account. Same OTP will come on both email and mobile. Your can use any one.

@ Shankar Rao

Many thanks for your immediate feedback.

@ Shanka Rao.

Giving you an update on the bank account validation of my relative.

1.There is a selection for revalidation in the three dots on top right corner of the account invalidated ( without reason) by CPC. One selection is .

2.To avoid manually typing the 13 digit bank account twice ( and likely make a mistake, there is no copy paste facility for entering account number ) my relative clicked on the . OTP demanded, and entered. After that same frozen status of "Request submitted".

3.After waiting for 48 hours, again started the battle.

4.This time, as suggested by you, clicked on . OTP demanded, entered and a miracle - the bank account got removed.

5.Next, again added the same bank account :-  typed in 13 digit account number twice, 11 digit IFSC, etc etc, again OTP, and by miracle, this time the account got added, showing as Validated. My relative thought of throwing a party due to this miracle 😀.

Now he is awaiting the next miracle, his Verified ITR processed and refund appearing.

I am sure many are not aware of their validated bank account having been invalidated (no fault of theirs) and will end up waiting for ever for getting any refund credited.

Many members, having read our Q/A will be enlightened now and may have already started with this miraculous exercise for themselves, their clients.
