New CA Curriculum and Training [Forward at cret @ icai.in]

Great Proposal.ICAI must change the draft accordingly. No direct entry fo CA Course .We have been telling them to implement it for last 3-4 Yrs but without any result. this time ICAI should revise the draft & introdoce Finance Papers for at least 400 mks,Economices for 200 mks & QT for 100 mks. We should appreciate that CA is not for everybody. 

It is badly needed .Already CA's reputation is at stake and capability of CAs are being doubted which is quite justified.

ICAI must take drastic steps otherwise CAs will perish .

CA is not master of all skills, ICAI needs to keep very solid and specific subject. This is advanced and fast moving age .

If Subjects are increased, there will not be takers in the future. IIM MBA is exapme which complete  their entire course within 2 yrs. No body will spend 5 years in CA which is full of uncertaitities and risks.So ,following is advised to ICAI.

Course Duration = Maximum 3 -4 Years (Not beyond 4 years  at any cost)

Subject= 10- 12 Subejcts (Inter and Final) Just Like CPA USA and other CA course

Entry level= CA Entrance or Tough test like IIT and CAT

Residential Traning =  All type of IT, Soft Skill, general Management Training should be provided after qualifying CA Entrance Exams.3-6 Months duratiion.

Articleship/Indsutrial Training =2-3 Years Full time regular training CA firm and Banks/NBFC.
