you should approach a practicing CA having expertise in this  field, he will guide you in registering your company.

also you can get useful information on MCA website regarding this.

In my view, word like group of companies does not have valid legality. it means Companies Act does not laid down any procedure for registering group of companies. its just a logical term which attributes to those company which are controlled and managed by same group of people/organisation.

individually you need to registered all the company with ROC.

or

Tata & Birla Group Etc.

have you any idea about the group financial position or balance sheet prepared for relience/tata group.

if these are the legal body then they must have one balance sheet and that must be file with ROC. 

this is my personal views, in past one of my client having various company has ask the same question.

also plz take the views of other professional
