Welcome to the world of Chartered Accountants.......... You have taken a good course to pursue with, with the globalisation of economy the need for CAs' are increasing many times. First of all you should give the CPT exams which is conducted every three months. Thereafter you should join the articleship, In the mean time u will have to complete the computer training. After a specified period of articleship you can give PCC examination. and at last you will have to complete your final examination. The scope is very high and on the basis of CA certificate and your good experience you can get a very handsome salay, Wish you all the best for ur bright future.

hi, neha first of all welcome to the world of C.A. u have to join C.P.T which is foundation and in that u have to study 4 subjects (accounts, quantitative aptitude, economics and Merchandile law) after passing u have to join articles and after completing one and half year u will get PCC attempt and after PCC u have to continue articles for 2 years then u will get final attempt stipend depends on the firm u have joined

ya u can join CA by registering with the CA institue and they will give u prospectus and then u will know more about it

Neha, Welcome to the profession of chartered accountancy. wonderful profession..Well first of all you should be aware that you would be dealing with subjects you have never dealt with before if you are a science student.. but definitely ca is a wonderful course. As far as your stipend is concerned oh ho.. you will recieve figures that is too minimal for a software engineer as i have heard software people are paid pretty high salary.. well how to go about CA???? First of all approach the nearest branch of the instiute of chartered accountants of india for the entrance level i.e, the CPT( common proficiency test) prospectus which will cost you about Rs. 100 ..... the prospectus will contain all the further details you require about CA.. Hi neha..........found you interested in a course which seems to be totally different from what you have done earlier........u have mentioned that you are a software engineer......i want to ask you why you want to change your career from engineering to chartered accountancy......inspite of this you can pursue any other specialised course in field of engineering.......and as per me both Software engineer and chartered accountants have a quite same growth in corporate sector.......so if you wanna change your field please think again......... if any more queries you can mail me on rohin arora2003 @ gmail.com

HI Neha,CA+B.TECH IS a good option for I.T industry and foreign jobs.but CA need your initial sacrifice in terms of money.becouse during the period of articleship you will receive a minimum pocket money.but dont worry after all there is a rewarding career.as a engineer you are already expert in math and information technology now be expert in commerce.best of luck.

why u r thiniking of doing CA.CA is not as easy as engineering and other courses it needs stuff... if u have stuff then go register with ICAI and prepare to write CPT

I have simillar type of dount frndz..one more my friend asked me same question...if she will join CA..then hw she will manage job and article ship..is it not possible without article ship as she is a software engg...or can some rebate in that..i mean how to manage software job and ca study..
 

since u  r a software engineer n in IT field... doing a CISA/DISA will be a gr8 help to u... more over u ll be highly technically equipped

i think for managin job then do CISA / CISM... Audit n IT security in ur field wid good returns n it requires work ex n Articles trainind in IT field...
