Thanks for so many response.

1) Planning to start a VOIP Business.

2) Need Service Tax Number for that .

3) I already have a company in my name.Planning to open VOIP one in my wife name.

4) I tried to register with www.aces.gov.in. But got stuck with last 3 drop downs. :( Need help related to that. I am from Kolkata 700028 Pin Code.

5) I spoke to my accountants and he said it will cost 4500. I told him its free , he said u try if u can get it.

6) He says I can get the acknowledgement of application but to get service tax number I need to pay .

7) No idea how much truth in that !!!

Suggest me what to do !!

Anyways, I finally got to get my Provisional STT Number.

Now I need to submit my documents with Utpad Bhawan near Ruby Hospital.

But can I use Provisional Number to raise Invoice ?
