Can you tell me, how to calculate reducing depreciation rate?
i got in trouble while reducing depreciation rate was not given and i have to calculate through normal (6 Functions) calculator . Formula is 1-Residual Value/ Cost of asset^N.How to calculate this x^y in normal calculator. For example : 1- 5000/105000^10

even I got strucked while finding depr. under WDV method. we need to apply logarithms to find it.
I think they won't ask this type of questions in exam since we r not provided with log tables. Am I right?
take help of logagrithm to find it
yes if required,the tables will be provided at the exam centres.but if such questions will be asked is uncertain.
