My employer deposited tax for 2 months during which I did not work for them. That caused my net income to increase by ₹70,000/-  and I have ended up paying more than ₹18,000 in taxes because of that. Is there anyway that can revised?

the months in question is MAY and JUNE 2016.

you need to claim refund of excess TDS made by employer by filling your return of income for ay 17-18

Could you please elaborate how to do that?

please get in touch with an CA practicing in nearby your residence. he shall guide you on how to prepare return

Sir. My returns have been filed already by my current employer along with all other staffs. They haven't deducted that. What to do now?

Please file a revise return. Show the actual amount of income. Claim refund for Excess tax paid

Should my earlier employer who wrongly paid TDS also revise from their side?

should I wait for them or can I proceed with revising the returns.

I mean if I revise and they don't they will I be in trouble?

If your employer also file a correction tds return then it is very good and a welcome step. If you revise and they don't you won't face any problem so long as you can prove your income like pay slips, salary credit to bank etc.

Thank you

You are most welcome...
