PICK OUT ANY FAMILY IN DELHI , THEY WILL HAVE EITHER THEIR OWN KIDS DOING CA OR CLOSE RELATIVES WHO ARE DOING CA .... IT SEEMS EVERY THIRD KID IN EVERY FAMILY IS DOING CA .. I BELIEVE EVERY 2ND COMMERCE STUDENT IS DOING CA ....

LOLZ..... SERIOUSLY SCENARIO NOW IS WAY DIFFERENT FROM WHAT USED TO BE EARLIER !! IT SEEMS PRACTISING CA 'SS WILL END UP MEETING OTHER CA'S AS CLIENTS IN MARKET RATHER THAN ENTREPRENEURS !!
As you yourself have mentioned,every 3rd kid is doing CA,that means he has joined CPT,right. Our ICAI gives a pass percentage of around 30 percent in CPT. That means one in every 3 "doing" kid passes CPT that means around 1 in 9 people. Then as for PCC result the pass percentage is around 20 percent that means one in five who had passed CPT has been able to pass PCC,that makes 1 in 45 of entire population passing PCC. Now in finals result is around 10 percent(recently),so that makes CA final pass out is one in atleast 450 people i.e. 0.22 percent of entire population. Hence looking at the rough figures that one in four qualified CAs goes into practise that makes 1 practising CA on a population of 1800 people.
And yes practising get many of their client who themselves are CAs,who themselves are entrepreneurs and something to be proud of.
