Monthly pension from fpf portion of pf contribution

A private sector employee after his resignation from company, receives PF portion of his and company's contribution fully; but instead of receiving FPF portion also, he receives a fixed amount every month as pension. This was originally contributed by him/ his employer every month. Now he is a retired person. Whether the pension received out of FPF portion is covered by exemption under Section 10 (12) of Income Tax Act or is it taxable?

Thank you in advance.

This annuity received every month is taxable...

Thanks but will the position be the same even if it is paid out of FPF which is part of PF contribution during service by the person?

Yes, it will be same as uncommuted Pension.....
