Dear All,

If bank officials make a mistake in preparing tax saver fixed deposit(instead of cumulative interest, halfyearly interest is given), what is the precedure to modify/pre-closure of that account. Also was remedies are available for customer?

Thanks in advance.

no remedies. . Bank will just correct the Data in its records if customer complaints regarding the mistake. .

otherwise During Audit of the Bank, when they will know about the same, will be corrected.

Hi, Thanks for your reply. Can the account be changed(here I mean can interest credited halfyearly be changed and can be given at the end of five years)?

it can be changed but need to ask them to change via a letter to bank duly signed by the account holder.

Ok, Thank you so much for suggestion. :)

you are welcome yogini..............................
