Mistake in esic payment

I cleared the ESIC challan, mistakenly created under the "Omitted Wages" head and the ESIC challan of the same amount is still showing as unpaid for the respective month.

Is there any possibility this mistake could be rectified.

In this case , I would advise you to make a written application , describing how this mistake occurred and requesting them for rectification.
Note that application should be made immediately without much delay from the date of such mistake. Moreover the reason for such payment by mistake should not fall under the exclusion list which is not entetained by the department
