Dear Team,

Employer missed some value of employee's salary amount in Form-16. We found the error now.

Now, The will be add in the ITR 1. If it's added then mismatches between ITR & FORM-16.

Is there any problem into employee & employer...?

how to solve this issue from both side..

please advise ASAP...

Thanks & Regards

Quick Summary
An employee discovered their employer underpaid their salary in Form-16, leading to a mismatch with their Income Tax Return (ITR). The discussion explores potential issues arising from this discrepancy and how both the employee and employer can resolve it. Advice suggests pointing out the error to the employer for TDS return rectification, though solutions are also discussed for cases where a revised TDS return isn't immediately possible.

Why should there be any problem, when the mistake is of employer, which employee rectified in his ITR.

First point out he mistake to employer and request him to rectify his TDS return....

That all ........

Agree with Mr. Rambhia sir reply

Thank You My Dear Mr. Dhirajlal Rambhia Sir...

But,

I want "in case without revised TDS return what are the points to be face"

As you have increased the amount in your ITR then whatever declared by employer, no question will be raise.

Even employer will not know about it, unless you report him.

But, Dept can raise query for the mismatches between ITR & Form 16

No query when the income declared exceeds the amount as per AIS or form 26AS.

If there is any under-reporting, then only query is being raised.

Thank You Sir...

U R welcome ..
