Merchant exporter warehousing

Hello Experts.

We are company based in Kolkata , which will be doing its first export as a Merchant Exporter.

Manufacturer will move the goods to our warehouse near the port , where it will be stored for a few days and subsequently we will export the goods.

We will also be claiming for the duty drawbacks.

In this regard we have the following queries.

1. Will the manufacturer send the goods under ARE-3 or ARE-1 ?

2.Will we be giving them CT-1 or CT-2 ?

3. Do we have to have a Central Excise Registration to go ahead with the above process ?

Thanks in Advance.

1. ARE1

2. CT-1

3. if the goods are to be exported within 180 days of clearance from factory, no additional formalities required, except change of vehicle no, should be reported and endorsed by the R/O of origtinating factory on ARE1

Sharmaji , thanks for your quick reply. Appreciate your help.

Registration with Maritime Commissioner might be necessary.

@ Naire sir

Maritime commissioner issues the B-1 Bond to merchant exporters with surity/security/EEPC registration ( whchever is applicable) without registration and issue CT-1 against that B-1 Bond, no separate registration required with meritime commissioner for export purpose, provided the manufacturing unit is registered with respective division ( maritime commissionerate covers the division office of manufacturer)
