ICAI people dont respond to ur queries. I too had already visited Institute WIRC for finding out wetherI get transfer in the same city..but the lady handling article section told me that she does not havenay clues..Its better u inquore in the Delhi HOor write a mail. She also told me that HO does not reply any queries related to transfer even if send by ICAI staff personnel...So, I should inquire to the DElhi HO & claerly explain them that MUmbai WIRC dont give any answer ....THis was the worst imaginable situtation!!!!

ICAI and its offices/officers are haunted. Thousands of students have written mails to ICAI president and officers and have got no replies. These talks by our president are just talks and nothing else. It is a shame that ICAI has challenged democracy by preventing students from changing the firm once they have joined. I feel pity for ICAI...they are just trying to show they are powerful in front of kids. Otherwise no one listens to ICAI....we all have seen what happened in AS 11...when ICAI officers came in media and kept saying they will not allow the amendment, and eventually the industry got what it wanted and ICAI just kept watching and couldn't do anything. Industry has thrown the guidance notes and AS in dustbin...it has used it only when it benefits.

Even in ICFAI case, even in PWC-GTB matter....ICAI is a looser.

Mohan and all others -

I understand your frustration. Infact ICAI officers deserve far worse words from us as they have challenged our fundamental rights, and they have shown no concern for students not only in articleship matter but even otherwise. However, please take care before you write anything in forums. It can go against you. For example, Mohan has written that he would shoot ICAI president....something very similar to what some of our ministers said during election campaigns and then they had to face legal proceedings.
