Medical Bills Reimbursements

hi all,

i our company we have reimbursement option for tax Exemption like medical, telephone, LTA

it was started from April 2010 to 31st of march 2010.

for one employee it was started from may 2010,

whether can he give the bills of April month for reimbursement.

Dear Hari,

Yes past bills can be reimbursed by the employer depending upon its policy, only thing is aggregate of exemption na FY shall not exceed Rs. 15K in case of medical reimbursements.

It depends upon the policy of the organisation.
Whether it accepts past period bills or not???
 

As per tax angle...its allowed but subject to a maximum reimb of 15000 in a FY...
