Yes, its because the MCA portal system is managed by Tata Consultancy Services.

And the TCS system uses programmed software for Name approval.

The TCS system software compares First 5 letters to compare with existing Company name which is really shocking. For example, if you try to RUN for TIMES365 MEDIA SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED your RUN will be rejected as the first 5 characters i.e. TIMES has similarities with Times Internet Limited. Ironically, the word none can bar you to use the word TIMES for your company name, but due to BIAS SOFTWARE SYSTEM of TCS, your application will be rejected every time you try.

Similar happened to our company where our company name's first word was completely different from spelling and meaning but the RUN service rejected with the reason that our company name is similar to an existing one. We got shocked because except the first 5 Characters there was nothing that has similarities with our proposed company name.
