MAT applicability for software companies

Hello,

Can any one enlighten me on woking out MAT for the software companies ?

Ours is a software company having two units. One of them is a 100% EOU deriving profits and the other a regular unit incurring losses for last several years.

Could any one suggest the working by putting in hypothetical figures so that a proper action regarding tax planning be taken?
