can anyone tell me with confirmation whtr thr still exist the marks division such as:
LAW: Co Law-60, allied Law-40
IDT:Excise-40,Cutom-20,VAT & service tax:40
Becoz in nov 2010 question paper the institute dnt seem to follow this pattern of marks division..
so pls let me knw abt May 2011..Rep soon!!!

but 4r idt tats the basic marks division the min. u can expect from each act..
Nothing with respect to division of marks in Corporate Law paper confirmed frm the Institute..So prepare keeping in mind there wont any such bifurcation so that whatever pattern ICAI adopts in this attempt wudn put us into trouble..Gud luck for ur Exams!!

bt nw tat thr r no bifurcation.. it has forced me to give equal imp to all the chapters.. earlier we culd plan according to the bifurcation..

As far as marks division in Law , it is clearly stated in the study material , in syllabus sheets that claw is for 70 marks and allied laws 30 marks.But then as u said they havent followed this pattern i checked the november paper wherin the marks allocation are 60:40.
In the Practice Manuals, for both Corporate Laws and IDT, it given in bifurcated way, even in the Jan 2011 edition bt as we have seen like in Nov2010 question paper, relying on the bifurcation and preparing accordingly wud be a risk..Nothing Like Section A & Section B found to be seen now.. :(
