Marking in ca - ipcc

Dear Friends,

I would like to know from people who have passed their IPCC / Final Examinations that whether the ICAI prefers answers to the theory papers in the language written in the Study Materials and the Practice Manuals. Is there anybody who has passed writing answers exclusively from books like Munish Bhandari and / or Surbhi Bansal and / or T.N. Manoharan, etc, without writng language of the Study material of the ICAI ?

Also, in the practical papers, does one have to strictly follow the methods given by the ICAI or one can solve the questions in the manner provided in the solutions of the books like Dr. P.C. Tulsian, M.P. Vijaykumar, etc. ?

Please can somebody clarify ?

Thanking all of you.

Hey,

  • There is no preferred language as such by ICAI...The language has to be simple and clear and convey the matter to the point. So as long as your answer makes sense and has all the important points stated correctly there would be no problem.

  • Secondly, You can follow other methods to solve practical problems...it is not necessary that you have to solve it in the same method as per ICAI Material..But a very important thing here is "When you solve a question on the basis of a certain assumption..Dont forget to state that assumption in the answer"

Agree with Divyaji..yes

In pratical papers it is necessary todo all the steps of the sum as marking in ICAI is done as per the steps. hence dont miss out the steps eve though they seems not necessary.
