whether cutting of leather for making shoes/apparels is manufacturing(as per sec 2(f) of central excise act) or not???????

if you are using self purchase material and modifying and then saling will be manufcturing.
if you are doing job the service Tax applicable on job work.
It is neither a manufacture nor a case of service tax. Service tax is leviable when activity is undertaken for a third person.
