LTC cash voucher directly through ITR posiible on not

Hello folks,

SInce the LTC cash voucher scheme is in discussion a lot these days, first It has been started for central govt and further extended to PSUs and Private companies.

My question in this regard is That can this schme be availed directly while filing ITR.

As my employer has stopped taking claims on this behalf and they are telling that It can be directly claimed in ITR.But on various portals I have read that It can only be claimed through emopployer and not directly in ITR.

Suggestion and assistance in this regard is highly appreciated,

I am planning to buy a car and appx 108000/- is on stake. Kindly assist.
