Long term capital loss not carried forward

My ITR for AY 2015-16 includes Capital loss from sale of Debt Mutual Funds.   Through oversight, the Capital Loss was not carried forward in AY 2016-17 & 2017-18.  Can I now carry forward the capital loss of AY 2015-16, in my ITR of AY 2018-19. 

All my returns have been filed within the due date.

File rectification request for AY 2016-17, if allowed it can be b/f in current year ITR.

I think capital loss can only be set off against capital. gains only and not other heads of income
