I was under the impression that LLP cannot be changed to private limited, but now have heard from few online resources that it is possible now. Can you please confirm this and in case this is possible, kindly let me know the detailed process for the same.

Yes, Coversion of LLP into Private Limited Company is practicable and stipulated under sections 366 to 374 of CA, 2013. go through said provisions.
Thanks Prakash. Can you please confirm if these provisions are functional or some thing is still pending at the government side (like notification etc). I asked a CA yesterday and he said that the provisions are there but not yet functional.
