LLP Closure - NRI Partner

Hi,

My client has setup LLP in Aug 20.

He is NRI and want to strike off the LLP.

I have few questions regarding this.

  1. Should she file annual returns 8 and 11 though there is no activity?
  2. Will she liable for penalty of 100/ day?
  3. Should she file IT return?
  4. As she is abroad, can she get notarized documents? Any remedy for it?

Thanks in advance

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses the closure of an LLP where one partner is an NRI. Key questions revolve around filing annual returns (Form 8 and 11) despite no business activity, potential penalties for non-compliance, and the necessity of filing Income Tax returns for closure. The advice provided suggests that if there's no activity, compliances aren't mandatory, and the NRI partner won't be liable for penalties. Filing an IT return is also deemed not mandatory for the closure process.

1. If no Activity, No need to complete compliances.

2. No will not be liable for the same.

3. Filing of Income tax return is also not mandatory for closure.

Thank you. Any solution for NRI partner?
