You won't be able to practice if you go for correspondence LLB... So unless you have something else in mind I don't find much use of it unless it is for knowledge sake. You can google for it.

Depending upon what you call short term. Some short term finance certifications/ courses, I can think of are, NCFM/ BSE certifications/ AMFI/ IRDA exams, CFP, etc.
