Hi,

I have made a list of account heads for book keeping purpose. Have gathered it from various places. But I am not sure whether it is accurate or if anything is missing. Kindly let me know if anything is missing or is incorrect. 

The list is as follows:

 

Business Promotions
Misc. expenses
Professional & Legal Charges
Bank Charges
Communication expenses
Conveyance
Utility Expenses
Salary & Wages
Furniture & Fittings
News & Periodicals
Office equipments
Postage & Telegrams
General office expenses
Printing & Stationary
Repairs & Maintenance
Travel & Transportation expenses
Rent, Taxes & Insurance
Employees Welfare Expenses

The details provided by u correct but its very from entity to entitiy according to voulmeness of data transaction there are many other head for which account eeping are reqired and maitained by the clients.

List of Accounts will vary from business to business, depend upon the nature of the business we has to take the heads...

Books of accounts are standard main heads. Sub heads can be defined by others

the reason main heads are there for understanding the cost to run a company.

depreciation etc are required to be provided to certain assets only.

again that is seperately done as per govt rules and regulation.

Transparancy in accounts is going slowly. we have been following the british law and changing as per indian tradition. and now we cannot say it is neither indian nor british.

 

Hello, where can I account for expense on Licences and Registrations? Actually I work at a factory they are applying now for different licences and registrations in different government departments. Also the registrations are being done through few agents who will be reimbursed after acquiring the licences. How to do accounting in this sort of a situation? For example, the company is XYZ Pvt. Ltd. who have applied for pollution licence. The government fees is Rs. 7800 and the agent will take Rs. 2000 as his fees.
