liquidator is the officer appointed when a company goes into winding-up or liquidation who has responsibility for collecting in all of the assets under such circumstances of the company and settling all claims against the company before putting the company into dissolution.

is there any distinction between both

With every NCLT, office of one liquidator is attached. such a liquidator is known as official liquidator.

NCLT has option to appoint either official liquidator or any other liquidator.
Any liquidator appointed by NCLT for any company is known as company liquidator.

so company liquidator may be official liquidator or other liquidator.
