Lic policy linking to pan

I have another query

is it also necessary to link LIC policy to PAN or Adhar card ?

if so what is the deadline and also what are the consequences of not linking ?

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether linking LIC policies to PAN or Aadhaar is currently mandatory. While there's no strict deadline, linking is beneficial to avoid higher TDS rates on interest, dividends, or withdrawals. Although not currently required, it's suggested that this might become a future mandate. Your PAN is likely already linked due to KYC procedures during policy issuance.

Yes, there is no deadline for that. Earlier linked better or TDS (on any interest or dividend or withdrawal) will get deducted at higher rate.

Thanks a lot Dhiraj ji

You are welcome.

As of now no such requirement. It may be implemented in the future.

Your PAN is already linked with LIC policy since PAN would have collected as part of KYC
