1. Can anyone help me when Lic claim received by the legel heir whether it is taxable or not when person died ?
2. What will be taxed on the total maturity value of the policy?

any money recvd by legal heir on death of a person is not taxable..
Lic claim recieved on the death of person by his/her family is no taxable.
