well i was on a client site where by they had a tally system of accounting, in  that they had the cash balance in negative which is actually not possible.

Tally system has one of loopholes i.e. the system allows the cash balance to go into negative so it is advisable to check the cash book with the balance.

Cash Balance goes negative not only in tally but in most of the accounting software....... it s the basic activity of the the audit programe that we must check the cash balances....
