Late filling of itr

After filing returns, one has to send ITR V to CPC bangalore within 120 days. After 120 days, the ITR return filed becomes invalid, and is scraped. You will have to file a fresh ITR return online.

sign the acknowledgment, send it to banglore and hope it gets accepted.

you cannot file a fresh return now as the return is time barred. you could have filed return only till 31.03.2012

May be next time you may not have to send ITR to Bangalore, Still this is not officially announced but once it is will be a good same in time for all Return Filers....

Dear Animesh,

though its not as per the law,but u may still do this..file the return u/s-142(1),and in this way I have even received notice u/s-143(1).So try this before the deptt plugs the loophole.
