Last Date of paying STCGT?

You will have to pay STCG Tax within 31st March 2011.

You will be charged interest after 1st April 2011 till the date of filing of return. 

You can file ITR - 2.

STCG tax has to be deposited quarterwise with advance tax, provided the tax liability is more than 5000/- during the year. 

its if more than 10000/-.....

Interest u/s 234B and 234C of income tax Act is levied only if the assessed income during the year is more than 10,000 as per section 208.

So if your STCG is less than Rs.10,000 you may defer the payment till the date of filing of return.

My capital gain is more than 10,000. It shall be taxed at 15% and i will pay it before 31st March 2011.

I think it can be paid online via netbanking. Is it recommended?

netbanking is most secured process to pay the taxes, but please fill the data carefully.
