now when I am filing income tax return today. why it is charging late fine of 5000 rs??

Because you may be using old version of ITR utility. Try with latest utility dowloaded after 01.08.2018..
last date is extended ?
Already extended to 31.08.2018..........
Except for Kerala..... it is 15.09.2018, due to severe floods
For state of kerala ONLY it is 15th sept 2018. All other states and union terr 31/08/2018
